Location

Dresden, the capital of Saxony and the former residence of the Wettin dynasty, is a city of art and culture with magnificent buildings, many world-class museums as well as a rich tradition of theatre and music. No book about the history of architecture can forget to mention Dresden’s Zwinger Palace. The reconstructed Frauenkirche, the Semper Opera House and the Royal Palace as well as many other historical monuments and collections define the image of the city.

Directions to the Conference location

From the airport:

  • Continue by cab 17 km, approx. 30 minutes
  • Continue by rental car, take the A4 freeway, direction Chemnitz until exit 79-Dresden-Neustadt, follow Washingtonstrasse / Fluegelweg / Emerich-Ambros-Ufer until B173, from Nuernberger Strasse, then see arrival by car from the city center via B173
  • Continue by S-Bahn in the direction of Hauptbahnhof (main train station), approx. 25 minutes, then see arrival by train

From the main railway station:

  • Continue by cab 2 km (approx. 5 minutes) or
  • Continue by train line 8 direction Suedvorstadt, 3 direction Coschuetz or bus line 333 direction Mohorn Wendeplatz to the stop Nuernberger Platz

From direction freeway A17:

  • At the exit "Dresden-Suedvorstadt" take the B170/E55 in the direction of Dresden-Suedvorstadt and follow the signs to Dresden
  • After 2.8 km (after passing under a pedestrian bridge at the TU Dresden) turn left onto Nuernberger Strasse
  • After another 400 m turn left onto Muenchner Strasse
  • The institute building is located in 190 m on the right hand side
  • Behind the barriered building entrance in Bayreuther Straße you will find the guest parking spaces

From the city center:

  • Take Sankt-Petersburger-Strasse and Fritz-Loeffler-Strasse (B170) in the direction of Fritz-Loeffler-Platz.
  • Get into the right lane and turn onto Muenchner Strasse
  • After approx. 400 m you will find the institute on the right hand side

or

  • Take Budapester Strasse/B173 in the direction of Freiberg / Freital
  • Turn left onto Nuernberger Strasse
  • After approx. 1 km turn right onto Nuernberger Platz and then immediately right onto Muenchner Strasse.
  • The institute is located in 120 m on the right hand side
