Social Event

We invite you into the generous, Asiatic seeming ambience of the restaurant GONDEL in the City of Hannover. Enjoy a delightful menu accompanied by swinging gospel music:

"Janice is a One-Woman-Show!" These were Lionel Hampton's words when he heard the singing energy bundle named Jan Harrington. Her repertoire encompasses styles such as jazz, gospel, pop and soul. However, regardless of what she sings, her background is the blues. The blues gives her the intensity and the feeling.

For the upcoming event, Ms. Harrington will share the stage with the great saxophone player Stephan Abel. Abel's trademark is his huge warm tenor sound. He is one of the few European saxophonists that feel as comfortable playing jazz as playing soul and pop music. The trio Swinging Affair will back up these two exceptional artists. The long time musical relationship between pianist Lutz Krajenski, bassist Hervé Jeanne and drummer Axel Schmeister has provided the band with an almost telepathic musical understanding. These five outstanding musicians clearly have fun playing music together. This fun will quickly spread among the audience and will turn the event into an unforgettable evening.
