ANASTASIA+: Analogue enhancements for a system to silicon automated design

Analogue and mixed-signal circuits and systems are used for an ever-growing variety of functions in all areas - particularly automotive electronics, data communications, and wireless telecommunications. However, design automation for analogue circuits lags behind the digital area, and no satisfactory solutions yet exist for stepping from one abstraction level to the next. The goal of this project is to bridge the gap with seamless top-down methods that include the tools and techniques needed to achieve a high level of automation and reuse. Top down design tools and methods are needed from system specification to the circuit layout that are comparable to the digital flow counterpart. The project partners will develop new methods and tools to close the design flow gap between specification and layout. These will eliminate the bottlenecks that exist between system specification, and block-level circuit design. Particular attention is given to automotive and wireless telecommunication applications.
